From my absolute favourite New Who episode: Doomsday. I cried for days after that one! I loved Rose so much! So when I saw this pattern, I absolutely had to make it!
It was my first try at cables, my first try at thumbs (they are really ugly!) and my first gauge swatch knitting. Oh! And my first pattern alteration because I couldn’t get the right gauge. I bought sock yarn and no matter what needle I used, I just couldn’t get it. So they don’t look like the pattern at all, but I love them to bits, and I think they’re gorgeous (except the thumbs). And they are my absolute favourite thing I have made so far (to this day!).
