Backlog Project: Slouchy Hat

I wanted a slouchy hat for winter. I used dark red curly yarn and the “Another Slouchy Hat” pattern by sleepycat. The pattern said if we wanted it more slouchy we could add a couple of rows, and I did, but it ended up too slouchy… Now I don’t know what to do with it!

Backlog Project: Scarves

My sister-in-law asked me to knit her three children scarves for Christmas. I started during the summer so I had time to do all of them before Christmas.

The first one I made was a very simple k2, p2 ribbed scarf with curly yarn. I picked indigo blue Bernat Soft Bouclé yarn to give it a nice texture.

The next one I made was for the only little girl in the family. She’s very girly too so I picked soft pink Red Heart Soft Touch yarn for her. I used “Mom’s cabled scarf” pattern by Jessica Jensen (available via Ravelry).

The last one I made was for the eldest son. He LOOOOVES hockey and the Montreal Canadiens. I initially wanted to do the logo in intarsia, but I still can’t do intarsia. 😦 So I simply did a stripe pattern in ribbing (so it wouldn’t curl) with the team’s colours.

They were all very happy with their scarves!
